Sports bras are as hard to put on as regular bras are to take off by teenage boys (or by most men for that matter). How do you get into your sports bra? Do you step into it? Do you use the over the head method and then wriggle into it? Does it twist and turn in ways you didn’t think possible while you pray no one is looking in the ladies locker room (not that that’s happened to me repeatedly)?
Getting in and out of a sports bra should not be this hard. It’s another obstacle between me and my workout. Filed right under “I’m too tired, I don’t have the time,” and “I don’t feel like it” is “ok, I made it here and now you want me to put this on? ”
When I’m working out, I want no awareness whatsoever of my boobs. I want them smushed into place, and then I want them to stay in said place. I don’t want to notice them, have to readjust anything, or feel like my circulation is being cut off. Is that too much to ask?
Then I found the last sports bra I’ll be buying for a very long time. Fiona Moving Comfort Sports Bra, allow me to tell you why I love thee:
First off, the bra actually has a hook closure in the back. Imagine that! A sports bra that can be worn and removed just like all the other bras I own…genius! Then, to top it off, the straps are adjustable so short-torsoed gals like myself can pull them tight enough to secure the goods. And boy do they ever. I forgot I even had boobs during my workout. The only thing I don’t like about this bra is that the model in the picture has smokey eyes, a come hither look, and hair that says DO ME NOW. Explain to me which gym she goes to.
I’m glad this bra hooks in the back, I wouldn’t want her ruining her hair while trying to get it off.

At least it doesn’t have a front latch – I could never figure those out!
